Early Morning Mist

It was a beautiful morning today and my sister and I were out early this morning with our coffee and cameras.   The air was cool and the mist was rising off the water - it really does feel like autumn is here.    It was also very  quiet - with only the sounds of birds chirping and fish jumping.   

We saw a group of six loons swim by and while taking their photos I saw this blue heron on the other shore and was fortunate enough to take a couple photos of it before it flew off.    The heron is a regular visitor in the area but he is not often seen on this point.  

Both the heron and the loons are very special birds and it was a toss up to see which photo would be the main blip.
