Back to reality
It was back to work for Mr A this morning; it’s my turn tomorrow.
We’ve done so much over the last week that we both feel jet lagged. We never learn that we should have a couple of easy days on our holidays, there’s always too much to see and do!
Since my Dad and Stepmum weren’t able to come to the wedding, we went to see them this afternoon so that they could watch the video of our ceremony and look through the photos, though I sent them a few while we were away so that they didn’t have to wait a whole week.
We managed a nap when we got back home, which we both felt we needed. We are still tired though!
Most of the unpacking and washing is done, I can do the last of it this weekend when Mr A is away. We had a pile of cards to open too.
Our task tonight is to try and pick photos for our wedding album. This was part of the deal with Gretna and from what we’ve seen so far, could prove to be difficult; they are awful.
I’m no expert (I leave that to my cameraman husband!) but the framing is awful; my dress is cropped off on almost all of the full length shots, people in the background, over exposed….the list goes on!!!
Mama A requested a full length photo of us in a traditional pose, to frame and put on the wall. There’s not a single one where we are both looking at the camera.
I’ve actually got better photos of us by taking screenshots from the video we took on a mobile phone. Plus the ones we took on location.
Thankfully, Steve also took some photos during the day; will will look through those tomorrow and hopefully will find some good ones that we can make into albums for the parents to keep.
We will be sending feedback to Gretna once we have the photos in hand; er are going to request digital copies so that we can edit them ourselves. It’s a bit of a poor do though :-/
