Sorting out

Today was a sorting out day in advance of a trip to the dump booked for tomorrow. We did the shed and the garage and ended up with a car full of junk. The shed still contains some of then children’s stuff but as they don’t have sheds or garages we hold on to it. Boxes of school books and university files (no1) but she wants them kept for a bit longer. The picture is from a book called ‘Harry builds a house’ which was a favourite when they were young. I do understand why it’s difficult to downsize - the thought of a massive sort out is enough to put anyone off. If/when we do that (not on the horizon yet) it won’t just be a trip to the dump but a huge great skip or two!

Stresses involved in (yet another) flat move for No.2 continue to keep coming my way. At this rate looks like he will be sleeping on someone’s floor for a few days. New flat won’t be ready until the middle of next week but tenancy is up on current place on Saturday. Thus will involve furniture into store - two lots of van hire. Why is nothing
Straightforward?

Meal out tonight as we were both too tired from sorting out but I couldn’t settle or enjoy the evening - thinking about No.2 and also awake at 3.16 typing this!!

Back to bed with a peppermint tea, a few pages of my book and tomorrow is another day!
