A Pipecleaner And Crochet Undersea World

Today I thought I would go with as many colours as possible as we have had such grey weather over the last few days. The crochet (not mine before you get too excited!) is supposed to represent all the types of underseas flora and fauna and I have just added a pipecleaner octopus for a bit of levity!
Today's image was 'inspired' by watching a fabulous film called "My Octopus Teacher". It documents a year spent by the filmmaker Craig Foster as he forges a relationship with a wild common octopus in a South African kelp forest in False Bay near Cape Town.
As the relationship grows with the octopus over the year she allows him into her world to see how she sleeps, lives, eats and defends herself against predators (particularly pyjama sharks - one particular scene will literally make your gob smack!).
After a turbulent and stressful period in his life Foster describes how his mentor-like relationship with the octopus taught him lessons in the fragility of life and humanity's connection with nature and allowed him to reconnect with his own son. A truly wonderful film!
