Fighting Pheasants #79

Today we went to RSPB Burton Mere and had a nice few hours seeing what was around. As usual, photography is quite difficult at BM as most of the birds are so far away and viewed through binoculars, but we saw some nice birds, including the Ruddy Shelduck (a first for me), and 7 Egyptian Geese dropped in at Marsh Covert Hide. We had nice, but distant, views of the Marsh Harrier hunting over the marsh along with kestrel, buzzard and also a hobby (we think).
Today's blip is from up at Burton Point where two cock pheasants were having a tussle in the field. Don't look too closely as it's not in focus, but I liked the position of their wings!

We said a quick hello to fellow blipper kwchas as he was on reception doing his weekly volunteer shift and getting to grips with some new technology. If we were not in such a hurry to fill our bellies with some lunch, we would have stayed longer and had a longer chat. After all it was after 3 o'clock!  We had a very late lunch of fish and chips at Parkgate :)
