I had to go to the pub

To pick up a book I had left on the table when I had lunch there recently Doh! . Incidentally a lovely book - called The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd.  Went for a little wander afterwards down to the nearby weir. Miraculously - the sun was out.  
If you look carefully you can see a heron at the end of the branch on the right.  A good place to fish I imagine - a nice still clear pool on the other side of the drop.  The splashing noise was lovely, and I saw dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies
