Gardener's Reward
A great green bush cricket (Tettigonia viridissima) - sometimes called a katydid. This is a female with her long ovipositor. Her emergence as I gardened was my reward for back-breaking weeding, dead-heading and so forth. There's still plenty of greenery for her to hide in.

Today is our son and daughter-in-law's tenth wedding anniversary. Can't believe where the years have gone - which applies, too, to our great niece's starting at secondary school today. Wow-ee!
