Sunset Flying

Year 2 Day 164 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 268 days ago.  UK open. Overseas travel with restrictions.

After a few hours tidying up our rear garden and putting kick boards on the fencing, it was a quick shower and coffee before setting off late afternoon to collect granddaughter Amelia. Her mum and partner are going to a wedding this afternoon so we've got Amelia overnight. On the way home we stopped at Usk Park for an hour at a play area (see extra), and on leaving she wanted to feed the ducks!

We popped into Waitrose to buy some food, and as Monnow Bridge is nearby, we walked across to the river. The blip pic is of Amelia and Mrs BB feeding the ducks as the birds take a sunset flight. You can see the sunset glow under the arch of the ancient Monnow Bridge (1297AD) - the only remaining bridge in the UK with its fortified tower remaining!
