Sunset

Our plane took off on time at 6am from Gatwick for our flight to Corfu, where we were at the ferry port a couple of hours early for the 1.45pm (Greek time (+2hrBST)) hydrofoil crossing to the small island of Paxos.

Our hire car was left portside with the keys in the ignition and a note of the windscreen with my name! We got to our apartment in plenty of time to unpack, shower and watch the Millwall v Cardiff City FC match. Cardiff weren't up to par and we ended up losing 2-0. No one said it was easy supporting your local team when I started over 50 years ago!

We popped out for a pasty and drink in the capitol of the island, Gaios, just as the sun was setting. A nice first day in paradise.
