Life in Sunny Dubai

From a fast moving car

Despite getting to bed really late (3 am), I was awake before 7 and even took G the cup of tea she always hints at. :))

I wanted to get the two new tyres on the car that we wanted to do yesterday but decided it can wait until the afternoon. We attended the SA Zoom meeting and then had a free morning as the EBCI live stream is getting a much-needed overhaul being sorted.

The big thing today was driving to RAK. As always, we left close to sunset. It was great to have a change of scenery. G took this shot from her side of the car. It also gave us the opportunity to buy a bottle of champagne for a friend who turns 50 next week. :)) I have to say there were so many more cars on the road compared to the last two times we've done this journey.

Home via The Square (in Wafi) to meet my cousin and his family. They arrived late last night from Germany for a short holiday. It was great to see them and catch up briefly.

Home to try one of the cans of Strongbow that G brought back. I think she just wanted to drink something that reminded her of home! And in a major step backwards, a VoIP app (Microsoft's Kaizala) which has been working well for the last few months, threw up a notification today which said, "due to local restrictions, voice and video calls are blocked." Another one bites the dust. Back to Square One. ;(((
