Plugged
Last week when Mr isbi was slashing in a very rough and overgrown area out the back he got a flat tyre on the tractor.
Many years ago, before our time, a silly person must have pulled out an old fence and left bits of wire lying around and a piece pierced the tyre.
Needless to say that's not a good problem to have. We had visions of, at best, having to remove the wheel (the big back one) and and take it away for repair.
But fortunately our good mate, Dave, who is a retired mechanic came to the rescue and was able to fix it in situ in about 5 minutes. Those two bits sticking out form a loop on the inside and plug the hole.
A nice bottle of single malt will be much cheaper than a new tyre :-)
This is for Silly Saturday which we commemorate each month in honour of Admirer. Davidc coordinates and 59 is hosting this month.
I have been asked about our friend Wally who recently had major heart surgery. I'm please to report it all went very well and he was discharged a couple of weeks ago. Due to covid we haven't been able to visit although I saw him very briefly when I dropped in some food the other day.
He and Mr isbi have continued their "Office" work from home with lots of phone calls and online punting going on this afternoon. *rolls eyes*
