Following the recent tragic news that Geronimo, the pet alpaca, had been forcibly put down by government vets, both Wilson and Byron have become extremely nervous.
Wilson has started having panic attacks, and every night Byron has nightmares about DEFRA [Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs] scientists tying him up and euthanising him.
DEFRA has a deplorable history with both badgers and bees, so their fears are not entirely unfounded.
This cannot go on, so I've made an appointment with the village Vet to give them both TB vaccinations.
When we arrived, Byron scrutinised the vet's qualifications to ensure the letters after his name did not include DEFRA…
