Reeves Muntjac
It was just starting to snow when I came home from child sitting at 0100 hours this morning; apparently the concert at the O2 was great, especially as it was all free including food and drink, courtesy of the company that S works for. The biscuits went down well and Oliver demolished five and then went into the kitchen to get some more; by the time I came home the tin was empty!
Up relatively early to watch the F1 practice three and then the Qualy after which I walked to the village. My granddaughter Victoria and her friend were on the station waiting for the train to go shopping in Cambridge. As I walked along our lane an arm was waving inside the train window; it would have made a good blip, but it was snowing too much to get a decent camera wet.
It has snowed all day, but is not really settling although if it gets much colder I imagine it might. The wildlife has visited, just to feed and not sit or wander about. I was not sure what to blip today between a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a squirrel or this Reeves Muntjac, which won in the end; the others are on Flickr. It appeared by itself rather than with the others in its herd and headed towards the daffodil buds. I doubt it has eaten them all, or am I just being an optimist?
