Marvelous Magnolia

This tree is in my neighbour Ann's garden and I see it from my kitchen.  The afternoon sun is the best time to photograph it.  I have felt bored all day but after a socially distanced walk and talk in her back garden I came home feeling better.  Her back yard is huge and slopes upwards.  It is terraced and full of spring bulbs.  No easy care shrubs for her.  Ann is 84 and I think it is the gardening that keeps her young.  As I was photographing this magnolia the perfume of freesias was surrounding me.
