Bit One Sided

There is so much going on that I’m currently playing catch up with the Blips so today’s, mainly around rugby, should bring me up to date.
Last nights match was a little one sided, the Navy going down 55-3, but we select from a pool of 30,000 who, with a rare exception, play as a hobby whereas the Pirates, who even with the overseas limitations, can recruit from anywhere in the world and have rugby as their full time profession.

On to today and at long last grassroots rugby has returned to Falmouth, never mind the ‘fluff & floss’ around Ladies Day with hampers, prosecco and such, it’s Saturday and grassroots rugby is back, that’s what drew the crowd back.
Local team with local lads aiming to get over the whitewash and back to what they enjoy and have missed.
The sun shone, the bar did brisk business, Ladies Day food hardly touched but on the field, where it matters, Falmouth got off to a flier and beat Tiverton 19 - 3.
Great start to the season, on to Truro away next week.
