A Red Studebaker, under rail arches at Brimscombe

(One of several back-blips posted in early September)
We went up the valley to the Felt Cafe in an old former mill complex beside the River Frome in Brimscombe. Helena had visited several times, but I'd not been in this spot for some years. The cafe was really busy but we found a bench close to the river bank where we could watch the river flow or the customers nattering. The mill buildings are close to the river and almost certainly preceded the railways need to cross the river valley. The river runs just beyond the grassy bak in the background.

This old Studebaker pick-up truck, which probably dates from the 1940s, was rather forlornly laid up under one of the railway arches which at least protects it from the elements. There were other vehicles close by so it was possibly awaiting attention from one of the garage businesses which traditionally occupy the nether worlds beneath such railway structures.

EDIT:
I think I've identified this truck as a 1946 Studebaker M5 Pickup
