Late roses

My friend Catherine has a lovely modern house in Winchester and a beautiful courtyard garden that she keeps filled with flowers all the year round in tubs and old pots.  I was amazed at how many flowers were still on these rose bushes.  She’s always been a magpie in antique shops and inspired me to look for more, what do we call it, garden brocante… 

We went to a favourite shop in Winchester on the way home and bought some pretty kitchen things and a dress from the sale.
