Garlic and onions

A hot, sweaty and hard working morning at the allotment doing battle with rampant weeds that have spread through some 4 weeks of neglect.

We did manage to harvest a few crops, some spuds, raspberries and onions which have been drying off for some weeks. This is the first time I’ve tried autumn planted red onions. I was certainly a good decision this year.

It was a late lunch and a short afternoon as there were things to do and we were out to dinner with friends Sue and Bob this evening, arriving back at 1.00am. A jolly good evening, rather different to the usual Monday evenings
