Hill Climb
Lovely breakfast in Lochside, our B and B hosted by Fiona and Derek, who bought the house five years ago from a Dutch antique dealer who used it as a holiday home. They left the rat race in London and have made this house a joy to stay in with three double rooms and wi to views of Loch Achilty.
There was a classic car rally heading out as we finished breakfast and waved to a few of the old cars, some VERY old!
Did a hill climb from outside , around 10km, pretty mochie weather around 22 degrees. Had a bowl of soup sitting outside in the square at Strathpeffer and then wandered down to look at The Eagle Rock , from Pictish times. Then down to the old Victorian railway station which was revitalised in the 80s witt a tearoom, craft place and history of the place set out in another room.
Had a meal booked in a local restaurant for 630 but I could have curled up and sleep I was exhausted but once out perked up. The restaurant was busy and specialise in pizzas two nights of the week. I am one of the few folks I know that don’t like pizza so I had a delicious salmon salad and chips of course :)
