Lone tree Derwentwater.

Aches and pains largely gone from the race, we enjoyed a walk through Great Wood, and along the shores of Derwentwater, before I had a dentist appointment at 12 to replace a filling ... always great timing - especially when they tell you (just before lunch) not to eat anything for at least two hours. By the time I was allowed food, I was starving!

The light quality, although hazy, had a beautiful painterly quality today. I carefully composed it so the bend in the tree fitted around the Island in the background,
