Diary of an Edinburgher

New toy

Robert took Archie out this morning. Archie has been helping him to get fit for his walking holiday in Croatia next week.

The day got warmer and warmer, so we went up the Hill. But first we popped in to Uncle A’s flat to sort a few things.

It was hot up the hill, with not a breath of wind. We went up the wee (but very steep) cliff for a change. Archie and I were fair puggled!

When we came back home we rushed to sit in sun in the back garden. With a Magnum each, and a podcast on our respective earpods, we had a relaxing afternoon.

And then Chris, our neighbour, came out to show us his new toy…

Yes, he’s got a new, very nifty, DRONE. This one can go at 90mph, and it can do flips. But what’s different about this one (he’s got another drone) is that you wear goggles, and you see exactly what the drone camera sees! So of course we had to have a go with the goggles - not the controls! (Extra)

It was best to sit down to do it, and in fact, I felt slightly queasy as I was zoomed around the rooftops, whizzing past startled seagulls. Fun!
