Snowfall Saturday
....well, this is definately the most snow we've had in the last couple of years! it was blizzards as i went to bed last night, and it was still snowing this morning and showing no sign of stopping.
slept in til past 8 o clock....thats a record! watched the F1 Quali for the Malaysian GP, Jenson did a respectable 7th, and Alo 3rd. Breakfast, shower and then out in the snow. trip to the post office in Eastwood, and to pick up a few bits of shopping for mum and me. can't believe how deep the snow is!
home, late lunch and then off for a walk with Pete, and it's still snowing and shows no signs of abating!
we walked over the fields towards Watnall Woods. the snow came up to the top of my Hunter boots at one point....nearly lost Pete! we had a fabulous walk, beautiful scenes, extremely picturesque.
still snowing, we were out for well over 2 hours. final pictures i took were at Greasley Church, where for some reason they are flying the flag of St George today.
home, no bath for Pete (no mud today, just wet). he walks in and slumps down on his bed, his 4 little legs tired from the running and jumping over the snow (at one point he did a back flip!).
curry for tea, nice fire, nice red vino, and yes.....it's still snowing!!!
just had word from bro in IOM to say thier power has just returned after 2 days cut off! and we think we've had it bad....
