Somewhere over the rainbow...
OMG....it's still snowing.....I'm awake too early doors this morning, and still had to wait an hour at least for the start of the Malaysian GP. Alonso out after lap 1 :(....Button back of the field after dodgy pitstop.
when it had done, off and out. Thankfully it'd stopped snowing. picked up mums papers, and then me and Pete off out over the fields. need to take my monthly photos today, and as i can''t get the new car off the drive, i'm on foot/on the buses to do it!
the snow in one field was soooooo deep it came over my wellies! i don't think ever known so much snow in recent years than what we've had this weekend.
took half the pics on foot, and then home for lunch. legs aching cos of how deep the snow was yesterday and again this morning. after lunch, i'm off again, this time to Eastwood Cemetery, DH Lawrences resting place. then bus to Kimberley, passed Door One, and saw lots of kids sledging (our old haunt, and nowhere near as many people on there as there would've been in our day!)
took this picture of the Rainbow Bridge that spans the A610. as i walked up Knowle Hill towards it, an old guy started walking at the side of me. he was rambling, think he said his name was Clive. he told me he'd walked 8 miles today, and that the young ones of today wouldn't do that....they can't even drive in it....he said! as we got to the bridge, i got my camera out, and he told me he was an artist, and that he has his own exhibition in May, at the Gate Inn, Awsworth. he invited me, so it's in my diary!
monthly photos done, called at Sainos for a lasagne, and garlic bread. Bus home, then drive cleared, and i'm whacked!
dinner done, should've been out for Aunty Pams birthday tonight but it's snow go.....
Happy Birthday Pammy!!
think i'm off to bed soon, back to work tomorrow, finally, looking forward to normality....
