Hythe former Lifeboat Station

now a cafe with tables on the beach. An older one funded by Hannah Rothschild widow of the local MP stands behind. During the war the lifeboat was requistioned for the Dunkirk evacuation but it was badly damaged and had to be abandoned on the beach at La Panne. The upper floor was used for spotting doodlebugs.
