The Park

Difficult start, the husband had to be dropped off at 8am, to be picked up by a work colleague for their work summer party (staying over night).

Home and the boys just were not in the mood for school.  We ended up in a variation of school uniform (youngest), it wasn't far off, but winter track suit bottoms on a hot day didn't seem a great idea to me.  Fist fight getting out of the car and I had to carry the youngest to the classroom who just wanted to be at home with mummy.  His teacher had a builders hat waiting for him and he was happy to play with that!

More revision - it's so boring, it's so soul destroying. I was very glad when it was time to get the boys!

They'd recovered their tiredness after school (amazing) and were on great form.

I thought I'd do more revision this evening, but had to have a meeting and I'm not starting after 9pm. Instead, I'm off to bed with Simon Reeve, not literally, I got his book from the library this morning and I (we) love his travel programms.  I'm really looking forward to reading his autobiography.

Today I'm grateful for:
Kind words from the youngest's teacher about him
The eldest, despite refusing to go to his tutoring this afternoon, getting over his reticence and not complaining once as soon as we were on our way
Reading with both boys this morning, it was a lovely calming thing to do with them
