Shattered

It has been a while since I’ve needed an emergency blip, but as it happens it perfectly illustrates a fractured day.

Absolutely shattered following a busy day with work and working out what to do with The Eldest who has been sent home with “covid symptoms” (she has a cold), but can’t return to school until receiving a negative PCR test which can’t be booked due to technical issues. Argh!

I’d forgotten that the first week of school is always fraught with tired children bringing home all manner of diseases – always have to remember that covid isn’t the only game in town.
