Trigger Warning

The flag iris leaf blade is about two and a half inches wide; a pathway to a supper invitation perhaps... Knowing how some here love arachnids - and how some very much do not - I gave a small heads-up in the title and the thumbnail, I really really wanted to simply do a green and black geometric thumbnail from the top left corner and wait - well, I never said I was nice...

You'll recall I was complaining about my hearing. I phoned the clinic first thing Monday in the hope of an appointment, but was told for ear problems there is a six week delay, set by policy. I assumed this policy was to filter out the minor issues and then deal with the significant ones, and they did have a feedback page on their web site... Anyway, I had an appointment this morning and it turns out I have an infected ear canal, not an unusual thing but quite a bad case. Treatment commences. I said, treatment... oh, please yourselves.

House guests this weekend, and I'm casually checking Google traffic map because even on a good day the M5 around here is a parking lot at the best of times. As I type it's blocked solid from just south of us all the way to Taunton sixty miles away. Happily they're coming from north of us. It does make the idea of the railway station reopening a bit more attractive.
