Cooler today!

Much cooler today…only 17.5C at mid day when I was in the car. Today I gave my car a much needed wash…I was very surprised to find queues at our local hand car wash. I do the soft top myself first and only have the outside done, the basic wash. Everyone else was having a full valet which takes ages to have all of the inside vacuumed and cleaned.
I also noticed that my car is coming up to 35,000 miles. I bought it new in 2000 so now 11 years old…it’s the longest I have ever kept a car. Previously I would have changed it after 2/3/4 years. I used to do around 5000 a year but since retiring I have done much less and from 2020 MOT to 2021 MOT it was only about 1000…I had cycled further! As my husband has a bigger car which we use when going places together it doesn’t get so much use now. However I don’t fancy having only one car between us.
I have just reflected on my previous cars and I think I have had about 15… starting with a mini, then two Triumph Spitfires before progressing to more sensible family cars!
