It's About Time...
1) To 0pen the box containing my new iPad, purchased on March 14
2) To trade this not-smart phone for an iPhone
When I purchase something new, especially something that's going to involve a learning curve to be able to use it, I don't rush to open it right away. That's why my new iPad sat quietly in its box for nearly 10 days before I opened it.
So far today, I've opened the box, admired Apples think-of-everything-yet-make-the-packaging-minimal approach, removed the iPad from the lovely box, put its protective blue folding cover on, plugged it in to fully charge the battery, and answered (with Phil's help) the various "Getting to Know Your iPad" questions that came across the screen.
Maybe tomorrow I'll actually start to use it!
Today we also ordered an iPhone 4S for me; it will be in early next week. I've just ordered a protective case for it. (I'm worried about dropping one or both of these expensive gadgets.)
Maybe I'll be using the iPhone by this time next week...
(Phil took a gorgeous photo at Marine Park in Fairhaven this afternoon -- don't miss it!)
