Lac du Grand Saint Bernard

The highest point on our walk today. We did a section of the ViaFrancigena (one of the final sections of the famous pilgrimage from Canterbury in the Uk). It was 12km with 1050 mètres of ascent then we took the bus back. Fabulous scenery (see extras) and surprisingly, until we arrived at the Col we only met one other couple.
At the Col one of the ladies from the St Bernard dog museum was taking two of the dogs for a walk.

Spending the night at the same lake as last night but today the sun is shining so we can see it.
