Chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall, Bradwell
A cloudy start to the day but sun came out early afternoon.
Didn't sleep too well, think I may have laryngitis but it's not too bad. Had breakfast, phoned my friend and then K. and I went to this wonderful Chapel which dates from 660-662 and is Grade 1 listed. You can find more information on Wikipedia. We went for a walk around the seawall, first extra is near the Chapel and is a lookout tower used during the war as the RAF had an airfield at Bradwell Bay. On our way back we called into a small hall where the RAF Bradwell Bay Preservation Group had arranged photos and information, also a nice cup of tea!
From here we drove to Burnham where we had lunch and a walk along the river bank. The yachts were racing, second extra, and the sun had come out so a very enjoyable afternoon. Saw the third extra as we walked down a side road, it was over the top of a gateway.
Fabulous day
