9/11…… 20 years.

Many of us have memories of that day, where we were, how the horrific events unfolded in real time, for all to see.

A few years later we visited the disaster site in Lower Manhattan when on a family holiday. It was a sad but life-affirming place. We didn’t take many photos, but decided later we wanted a print as some sort of memory. Our older son went down from our hotel and bought this image from a Belarussian street vendor in Times Square. We followed his New York City adventure from our hotel window. We’ve a photo of him coming back into our hotel room after buying it - he’s wearing a Stirling County RFC jacket and a Scotland U21 Rugby World Cup t-shirt!

I’ve followed the painful demolition and re-development of the area over time; I’d like to go to the memorial site and also the new One World Trade Center establishment in future.

We’d a walk through the sheep field before lunch. Some early autumnal colours. Few folks about.

Friends came for a late afternoon cuppa in the garden; it was her birthday.

Family kept in touch. Their separate trips to England successful by all accounts.
