Beautiful Borage

An ancient Greek proverb says: "I, Borage, bring always Courage" . Borage is sometimes known (amongst other names) as Bee Bread.

The colour of this borage is what I call 'real' blue. Such an intense mysterious colour, full of nuance, even promise - so it seems to me. I wonder if that's what attracts the bees? I've read that it's the bees' favourite colour. It certainly attracted me today.

I'm somewhat decked at present, with a wonky knee that's not responding to treatment, so I've been looking close to home for inspiration. Succulents on the deck, borage in the garden, grasses and flax - all likely candidates for my macro lens. Looking through the lens at beauty is great therapy!

Just a thought - maybe I should be trying borage steeped in cold wine? Now there's an idea! Might fix the knee.
