Mrs & Mrs Connor

Slept ok at sis’s house last night, after we had been out for a curry in Manchester.  A couple of G&Ts back at hers so decided to stay over, as I had my overnight bag in the car. 

This morning after I left for home, I could tell I wasnt feeling great, so decided to go for a coffee to galvanise myself, as the thought of an empty quiet house was weighing heavy on my mind….sure enough I found myself tearful whilst sat drinking my coffee, :-/ 

After I got in the car I sat there for the best part of an hour, not a chance  of driving, just had to wait it out…..got home safely, slowly, traffic was busy, had a couple of phone calls en route from sis in law then you vest, which distracted me a little, which was good. 

Got home, unpacked my stuff, Couldn't really get. motivated to do anything….youngest son and DiL S called for a short while,  that boosted my mood. chatted about what I might wear tonight, at my neighbours wedding reception. 

I had a couple more little wobbles during the afternoon, eventually made some scrambled eggs and brown toast aRound 4, then focused on getting myself into a better frame of mind, S hub would not want me mopping and miserable at Jen & Lees wedding!!! 

Going out, getting a lift with my neighbours and sitting with people who live in our Drive was just what I needed……I loved this sign in the lobby as we arrived for the Reception!! Tonight was their third attept to get married due to Covid!! 

We all had a great night, the bride looked stunning, he groom very smart, and such a lovely lot of bridesmaids too, one of which was their daughter, who is flying off to Hawaii in the morning for a year to further her studies. They only accept one student from the UK annually!! 

They had a fab cake, which included themselves, their daunter, their two spaniels and all their other pets…..you can see it in extras, wi5 a few of us who haven't scrubbed up too badly ;-) 

The night jus flew by, lots of dancing and fun, proper fish & chips or pizza for the evening guests,  which was absolutely lovely!  

We didnt leave until 12.30…….its currently 2 a.m so I should take myself off to bed…..hopefully tomorrow will continue in the same positive frame of mind fingers crossed!
