Saturday evening dinner

Since I met my wife, Saturday eveninghas always been our date night. Get dressed up and have a special meal and an evening with no television, just music.

Tonight the meal was baked salmon with tarragon - the only recipe I use from the Scottish Recipe book propped open behind the plates.

We've been fortunate in Kent the last few days, missing the snow but retaining grey, leaden skies that turn everything the same colour.

Was at the allotment site at 8.00am to help shovel 3 trailer loads of manure to where it is being stored. Should have taken camera as it would have been an interesting shot, so cold but the manure was steaming.

Rugby, suprisingly, in the afternoon. Referreeing this time rather than advising or watching. A marvellous game 17-18 the result in atrocious conditions, very energy sapping. Then home for our evening date.
