Meet Guinness

Star of the show - Guinness, the donkey leading the Palm Sunday procession from the Green in Bearsted to Holy Cross Church for the Palm Sunday Service.

This was the first time we'd seen the procession, having lived in Bearsted for 13 years (my wife since the 1970's) To Guinness, it is old hat, this was his 24th appearance on parade.

After watching the parade we went to the allotment to gather some purple sprouting and a cabbage and then down to the Farmers' Market on the Green. Held the 3rd Sunday of every month the market is a good place to buy local meat and fish. We'd not visited for a few months, but my, was it cold. No snow but bitter.
