Floored

Not a very exciting blip by any means, however seeing as I was stuck in the house all day working-from-home, getting the laminate flooring delivered was one of the day's highlights (and the reason for not being in the office). We took advantage of a certain 15% off offer that a certain large DIY retailer had on and ordered all of the laminate flooring we had wanted for the house. Of course, we didn't really think through where we'd store it all - hence these two piles at the bottom of the stairs, a pile lying in the hall proper, and a wee pile in front of the cupboard in the living room.
It's all part of the pre-baby-arrival-house-decorating plans which have kicked off now that the new boiler has been fitted. The only thing is that we can't actually put the laminate down until all the old woodchip wallpaper comes off (as that stuff makes a hellish mess), so it looks like the house will be full of obstacles for the time being until we can get some other stuff sorted out. At least it'll keep me busy on weekends :)
