A little ray of sunshine

So Nice, Lets do it Twice!

A delayed 40th Great North Run which for a long time we didn't believe would happy. There are plenty of people who would have liked it not to have but thankfully, with meticulous organisation, around 57,000 runners we're out for the world's most famous half marathon. A staggered start and a revised course made the run possible, the start less stressful, and the route more hilly, but in the end it turned out to be a fantastically well organised and enjoyable event, bar the odd mile! The iconic Tyne Bridge was crossed twice, and the finish was through the centre of town rather than on the coast, making for a much easier departure at the end.

After a not ideal training year, due to injury in January, I was pleased to get 5k, 10k and half marathon PBs. And we spotted yourselves on tele, on the highlights!

Lots of pictures of my and my sister but I love this moment at the end of the second crossing of the Tyne Bridge.
