Don’t fence me in
When you get far enough from civilisation the cattle stations get so big that they don’t even have fences. The National Highway just runs across private land for hundreds of km at a time. Needless to say, you need to keep alert ….and slow down.
Reminds me of that Andrew’s Sisters song…
“give me land, lots of land under starry skies above. Don't fence me in.
Let me ride through the wide open country that I love. Don't fence me in.”
They’ve had good rain in the NT this winter, so there’s plenty of grass about, and wet season is just around the corner. These young fellas need a good six months of chomping to get them into ‘prime cuts’ condition
