A Ford and Some Fry Cakes

Quite a difference between the car show yesterday, and the car show today. Yesterday, thousands of vehicles. Today, there were 26, and 10 of those were Army vehicles.

But, today's show at a local orchard had fresh donuts and apple cider. I'm always mesmerized by the circles of dough as they travel down the river of oil, get flipped, and then plop down on the moving metal cooling belt.

Did we indulge? Because of the smell, it was hard not to, but we didn't.
But, nothing like the taste of a donut right out of the hopper bathed in cinnamon and sugar. I don't like the word, but they're yummy.

The Ford is a 1934.
