No Idea

When I first saw this donkey/burro, I couldn't imagine why the owners would let its fur grow so long. But, then I got to thinking.

1. Perhaps to keep the flies off the animal?
2. Perhaps the animal has a skin condition?
3. Perhaps the fur can be made into a wig or yarn?

That's all I've got. It sure doesn't look comfortable.
