DAY 4 - CRETE

this is actually for the 12th!!

Lazy start…breakfast…pack and pool.
Checked out at 11:30 and #visited the local village for a fresh orange juice (it’s one of the things I can order confidently in Greek)
The village is so pretty (more photos to follow when I get back)…wish we had another day to come up I’m the evening.
Drove 1 hr + to Chania (the old capital) …we eventually found our room in the old town down a little alley!!

#the room in is an old Venetian building with a roof top balcony…it’s lovely. Not sure about the massive jacuzzi in this heat though!!!
#we enjoyed a beer and a cocktail on our arrival at one of the many many bar/restaurants at the port.
#in the evening we had a stroll around trying to decide where to eat eventually settling on a “taverna crawl”…starters in one, main in another…in one we got a free drink as The Rev made a joke that tickled the owner:)))))
#we clocked up a few 1000 steps walking around, enjoying the sunset and being outside among so many people (but not too close)
Back in the room we had a bed time tipple of honeyraki on our balcony.
