Stare

Before breakfast I walked to the nearby nature reserve. It was a much greyer morning than the previous Sunday, with fewer birds on the ponds. Not helped by the highland cattle, who had decided to move into the water, and then just stand there. This cow would easily win any “staring out” competition, she certainly stared me out.

Two good walks today. In the morning through the recently mown Coldwell Meadow towards Challom Allotments, and in the afternoon through the RSPB’s Leighton Moss reserve up to Leighton Hall.
