Moss Eccles Tarn

A favourite with Beatrix Potter on her land in Near Sawrey.  She painted here while her husband fished and donated it the National Trust. It inspired her Jeremy Fisher stories.  We came for an evening swim and saw swans but no Jeremy Fisher- he was a frog.  I'm sure he was here, hiding from the chatter.
