Day 1 - Herriot Way - Aysgarth to Hawes

Mileage - approx. 12 miles

Beautiful weather, but not too good for walking. It was a little too hot! Around 25 degrees centigrade at it's warmest. And not a cloud in the sky all day which made for challenging photography too.

It was mostly on the flat too as we walked along the valley of Wensleydale. We did have a brief stop in Askrigg for coffee and cold water.

The day was rounded off with a lovely meal in The White Hart Inn.
