Wet day, very very wet

It is a well known phrase  "it will be good for the garden". It is totally correct in my garden, the soil is bone dry and very solid. It might be good for the garden, it is bad for the gardener. I had various tasks ready for the day but could not do them, or anything else outside. Bit bored.
Collected the plums before the downpour, the tree is heavily loaded with fruit but it looks as if they will all be ripe at the same time. Last year I got rid of some of the excess by making plum gin. I suspect this year a lot will be given away around the village
