Here Comes the Sun…..

There was a frost this morning. The grassed areas alongside the river were very white and crunchy to walk on. I have heard that both Chardonnay and Pinot grape vines have burst into bud and thus require protection from the frost. Wind machines were brrrrrring and whirrring in the affected vineyards and helicopters were slowly moving over and hovering over the very vulnerable vines… A very expensive operation to protect potential crops.
