This world was never meant for one

As close as I've seen to the Van Gough Sunflowers.

Sadly they are too high for me to cut and place in a vase the same way.

I can't believe how quickly the end of the growing season has come.

The Allotment is slowing down.

The empty corn stalks will be lifted on Saturday, the second plot of potatoes will be lifted.

The Chard has all gone - the squashes are still growing but on their last legs.  The Fennel is starting to fall.  The beans are still producing but slower now.  The ground is more wet and damp than dry.

There's going to be a load of weeding to do at the weekend, and then the plot will need fertilised for the following year.  Where's Stevie and Jess and Seaweed when you need them?
