Winter walk

This group of three came along with a sledge to use from where I was stood. Just too dangerous I suspect.

I went to Brinklow Castle this morning. Not a stone castle but a Norman Motte & Bailey castle. A mound of around 10m in height. The sides are quite steep in places and around the mound, sot surprisingly, is a ditch full of water for most os the circumference. Not sure you'd want to ride you sledge into that!
