Live it loud!

Spiralling....

....out of control?

No, not really. Just stop and take look see. Re-assess, change direction, make a change.

Spent some while today sorting out a new battery for the car. Over the weekend it started giving an error message when starting after being stood overnight in these tropical temperatures we're having at the moment.

It has done this twice before. On both occasions the battery has failed totally and catastrophically. Both times I got a brand new battery fitted under warranty. This time its happened just ten days after the warranty on the last replacement ran out. So, it was round the suppliers (who seem to be fewer than ever, and all supplying more or less just one brand). Managed to get one late today - hopefully I won't have to call on the 5 year warranty on this one.

To be fair, batteries have been the only car-stopping problem I've had in nearly five years other than normal servicing costs. When you look at the amount of cold starting followed by a load consisting of heated windscreen, heated rear window and heated seats, it is hardly surprising they don't last for very long.

A simple capture tonight. My son's school work diary and a rather blunt pencil. Minimal DoF by using f2.8. The curves set at an angle across the frame to create a diagonal leading you through the image. Nothing stunning, just a simple graphic view of an everyday something.

Tomorrow we have the big-boss arriving to present the quarterly management update. He will be met by a rather cold security guard who is having to man the failed automatic gate. It's blowing a hoolie every day at the top of the hill. Poor chap.
